Hreinn Þorkelsson has been around horses all his life, and riding highland tours since he was a teenager, first with his family, and then with Íshestar and other operators in the field since 1982.  From 2007 he has managed his own tours, with his sons and relatives, but now he has joined forces with Íshestar and is operating these tours in summer 2022:
