The photo competition winners
We are pleased to announce the winners of our Photo competition 2011. We
must admit that it was very hard for us to pick the three best ones and
we all had at least 30 photos that went into the finals. Thanks to all
who participated - we were amazed by how many excellent photos we got.
Please continue taking good pictures and we hope to see you next summer
on another Íshestar tour - Einar, Steinunn and Axel Jón.
People´s choice award goes to Catharina Modahl-Nilsson for the sweet
photo of her daughter watering the horse. They rode together on our
Trail of Hope. Catharina will receive a little something from Íshestar.
The third place goes to Carla Blekking from Holland for her beautiful
photo, taken on the Kjölur tour. This photo shows stunning landscape,
beautiful colors and the movement of the horses towards the
photographer. Carla wins an Íshestar fleece jacket from 66°N.

The second place goes to Carl Hagerling from Sweden for his “artistic”
photo. The movement in this photo is well preserved and shows the horse
from a different angle. Carl participated in the Snæfellsnes Beach Ride
in August. He wins an Íshestar jacket from Mountain Horse.

The winner is……….Marianne Welch from USA for her charming photo of the
young horse Gustur and his rider. Both horse and rider are relaxed and
the picture shows trust between them. Good framed photo. Marianne rode
on a special edition of our Diamond Circle in the North of Iceland. She
wins a free 5-8 days riding tour... with Íshestar of her own choice.
