We are proud to present our 2011 brochure with four new tours for next summer.
Tour 17 – Northern Odyssey – Highlands of Skagafjörður from this beautiful mecca of horse breeding into the wilderness of Sprengisandur.
Tour 10A – Íshestar Special North-West – Arnarvatnsheiði Safari. For the first time we are able to offer a highland tour with our hosts from Hvammur Farm, Sonja and Haukur into the great area of Arnarvatnsheiði heath with the numerous lakes and small rivers.
Tour 10B - Íshestar Special North – Jökulsárgljúfur and beyond. Another adventurous tour with our hosts from Saltvík Farm, Bjarni Páll and Elsa. On this tour we ride beyond Lake Mývatn to Grímsstaðir Farn and continue to Möðrudalur Farm, well hidden in mountains and at the highest altitude above sea level of all Icelandic farms.
Tour 10C – Íshestar Special West – Borgarfjörður, Dalir and Strandir with Siggi and Ólöf from Stóra-Kálfalæk. A great tour featuring among other things the ride from fertile Borgarfjörður across Holtavörðuheiði mountain road into the North.
We also continue with the popular
Tour 10D Íshestar Special East - Eastern Panorama, a unique adventure exploring new trails together with our host Jón Þór and his good horses. We ride through valleys and mountains and reach the shore at Vopnafjörður, a small village in the North-East of Iceland.
