To ride an Icelandic horse in the Icelandic nature is something you have to do at least once in your life.  It is the most authentic Icelandic travel experience.

A riding tour from Thursday to Sunday from end of September through October.  Two nights in the countryside and one night in Reykjavik.  Full-board during riding tour.
